Love, love, love this "colour it" tag using distress markers. Tim included a lot of tips and tricks for using the markers in his tag demo this month. The background is a mixture of stains, inks and paint - gorgeous!.
The technique is to stamp an image on watercolour paper, colour and blend it with distress markers, then attach it to the coloured tag that is stamped with various images. I added a spray of Perfect Pearls to finish it off!
Here's my colourful creation (reminds me of our flower garden) ......
Happy crafting :D

I'm a sucker for purple, looooove this!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, which color of the markers is that gorgeous purple? Or is it pinkish?
ReplyDeleteI love purples too - this colour is Dylusions Ink Spray - Funky Fuchsia (sprayed on mat and used water brush) ... love your Mojo Monday layout :D

I've avoided Dylusions because I'm not a big fan of such strong colors, but that one... MUST HAVE!
DeletePerfect Pearls and I don't get on very well but you seem to have it mastered; your tag looks fabulous. Well done!
ReplyDeletethanks Cath - I find Perfect Pearls works well on darker colours, combined with the grey shading these butterflies appear to be fluttering off the paper.
